How We Build Your Plan

Every client relationship begins with understanding — not a pitch. Our planning process is structured, thorough, and designed to give you clarity at every stage. We use eMoney Advisor, one of the most recognized financial planning platforms in the industry, to model your complete financial picture and make your plan interactive and transparent.

Discovery Meeting

We start by listening. We want to understand your full financial situation — income, assets, debt, insurance, estate documents, goals, and concerns. Nothing is too small. This conversation becomes the foundation of everything we build together.

Plan Development

Using eMoney, we build a comprehensive financial model that integrates your retirement income, tax strategy, investment accounts, Social Security timing, estate plan, and insurance coverage. We run multiple scenarios so you can see how different decisions affect your outcome — in real time, side by side.

Plan Delivery & Review

We walk you through your plan in detail — explaining the reasoning behind every recommendation, answering every question, and making sure you feel fully confident before any decisions are made. Your plan is delivered through eMoney's client portal, where you can access it at any time.

Ongoing Review & Updates

Life changes. Markets change. Tax laws change. We meet with clients regularly throughout the year to review progress, update assumptions, and adjust the plan as needed. Your plan is never a static document — it evolves with you.

How We Manage Your Portfolio

We manage investments with a clear framework: every decision is evaluated through the lens of returns, volatility, and cost — in that order. As fiduciaries, we are legally and ethically required to put your interests above our own in every investment decision we make. We have no obligation to any fund company, custodian, or product. Our only obligation is to you.

Returns

We evaluate risk-adjusted performance across full market cycles — not just recent results. Short-term outperformance is easy to find. Consistent, repeatable results are rare.

Volatility

A portfolio has to match your ability and willingness to ride out downturns. We size risk appropriately so you can stay invested — because the biggest investment mistake is selling at the wrong time.

Cost

Every dollar paid in fees is a dollar not compounding for you. We choose passive strategies where the evidence supports it, and active managers only when the potential benefit clearly justifies the cost.

We draw from a wide universe of fund managers and investment companies — we are not limited to any proprietary product shelf. For core asset classes where passive strategies are well-supported by evidence, we use low-cost index funds and ETFs. Where active management has historically added value — certain fixed income strategies, alternatives, or niche exposures — we seek out best-in-class managers through rigorous evaluation.

For more specialized or time-sensitive strategies — including direct indexing, tax-loss harvesting, and concentrated position management — we partner with select third-party managers whose technology and scale allow for the kind of systematic, daily-level execution that produces the best tax outcomes. We evaluate these relationships the same way we evaluate any investment decision: returns, volatility, and cost.
